A more flexible stock rule
A few details help explain this feature. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. Relaxed Spider on cdguyue.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls.
The relaxed difference
The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together.
Ten columns and a stock
A few details help explain this feature. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals.
Descending rank placement
An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement.
Follow one suit
The following details apply here. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later.
Keep space available
Keep these points in mind. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card.
Bring in another row
You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations.
Clear the table
Keep these points in mind. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column.
Practice the variant
The following details apply here. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable.
Separate variant progress
Keep these points in mind. Relaxed Spider keeps its saved games separate from standard Spider when saving is enabled. Each relaxed suit setting has its own current local game. My Statistics displays relaxed starts and wins in separate rows. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you turn saving off or clear local records.
